END OF LIFE
There are a number products that have gone end of life. You will not
be surprised to know that all the Sanyo analogue products have, and we
have very limited stock of these.
What might surprise you is that the Olympus DS-2300 has gone end of life.
This has been a very popular recorder over the years, and has been a
great entry level dictating machine.
NEW ITEMS
In view of the above, the NEW Olympus DS-2400 should be arriving in
October. We haven't seen it in the flesh yet, but it looks very similar to
it's big daddy, the DS-5000. With a button redesign, and a couple of
useful features, it looks as though this will be even bigger than the
DS-2300
The Grundig Digta420 has been out a little while. It is so nice to hold,
with a rubberised body. It also has a nice colour display that makes it
easier to understand than some of the other machines.

SUPPORT ISSUES
We sometimes get reports of professional dictating machines not holding
their battery charges. Please be aware that the best way to charge these
up in the docking stations is to have the recorder switched off. This
greatly increases the lifespan of the battery.

AND FINALLY
New Scientist reports that Google Earth may soon include sounds.
Californian company Wild Sanctuary owns more than 3,500 hours of
soundscapes from all over the world and currently is in talks with Google.
You'll need to turn up your speakers/headsets to appreciate this site.
