Authors

The author has a choice of either a mobile, handheld device, or a fixed microphone, depending on what they prefer. We find that the majority of our clients prefer the flexibility of using a mobile recorder.

When a new file is selected, the author can then record into the device, the same as a tape based system. The beauty of a true digital dictating machine is that this can be edited, overwritten or added to at any time.

Once the recording has been finished, the mobile device can then be connected to the PC, either by using a cable or a docking station. This then allows the recording to be transferred to the secretary, either via the existing network or by email.

Once the recording has been sent, normally the recorder will have been wiped clean ready to continue using.

To view the recorders you can purchase from us, please use the Navigation box to the left of this page, with various selections available under heading Digital Dictation.

Dictation equipment, often referred to as dictaphones, are necessary for many fee earners, in order to dictate reports, letters, memos and much more. Since the 1980`s we have supplied user friendly dictation systems across the UK.

We still supply a lot of analogue dictation units, however without a doubt, digital dictation is the preferred option for many. You have much more flexibility with digital dictation, including elminating the need to transport tapes. As such dictation and transcription productivity is increased by as much as 30%.
